Chocolate Japanese Persimmon scion from our organically grown garden.
Chocolate Persimmon - Variety Information
Highly sought-after fruits. Hard to find in the market.
These unusual, non-astringent persimmons are medium-sized and elongated.
Similar to Fuyu Persimmon.
rare because the flesh inside is more brown than orange.
When ripe they possess subtle notes of chocolate flavor.
The texture is firm appreciate the Fuyu Persimmon, as opposed to the gentle Hachiya Persimmon.
Sweet cocoa tinted flesh.
The productive trees produce lime green fresh leaves in spring, which darken to emerald and flush to a brilliant orange in fall.
Self-fruitful
You will receive 3 cuttings (the ends of the cuttings are sealed with wax) as in the last 3 photos.
These are freshly cut cuttings ready for rooting or grafting onto another tree.
Cuttings are approximately the diameter of a pencil (+-) and 12-15 inches long)
