The previous owner did not take incredibly good care of these. I cleaned them throughly with steam. I applied Bagbalm to bring back the supple feel of the leather. Then, I applied 3 coats of black shoe polish over a period of six days. A final brush shines with a dry soft rag buff. Finally, I applied a coat of Dr. Martin Dubin Rub. The recommended minimum monthly maintenance product is to maintain the soft, flexible leather and nice shine.

I have included photos of where the dried leather had cracked. Luckily, those cracks are not holes going each the way through the boot.
