mid century MCM brutalist abstract solid bronze horse head signed by artist
What an wonderful find at a local estate sale! This solid bronze piece of art is over 15 inches tall. The base is bronze as well and measures 8 1/8 inches by 4 5/8. This is marked on the base as shown. Reads EQUUS (Latin) for horse and the artist name Jaskulski with his original signature under the brass piece. It also has three letters on the base, I think it's BKI. This weights almost 17lbs. The style is Brutalist /abstract and the artist capture the style and movement of the horses head wonderfully. I believe this is truly a one of a kind art. This amazing piece has not been cleaned in years and has the original price sticker on the bottom, of 600.00. I tried a magnet on it and it does not hold.
